The 1916 Effect - updated

Flogging Dead Horses - Tue, 10/10/2023 - 17:39

Update - there was another 2 segments from Norman Finkelstein's interview.  Ballsy statements to boot

For both of you readers out there- sorry, nothing for months and then 2

Easter 1916 in Irish history was a watershed moment in my country’s history.  Irish rebels declared the creation of an Irish Republic and occupied strategic buildings – mostly in Dublin.  A siege broke out between Irish and British forces.  Artillery and even gun boats were used indiscriminately to shell Dublin and eventually the Irish surrendered.

The defeated Irish forces were marched through the wreckage of the city and ordinary civilians spat on them.  They were hated.  The British in their arrogance decided to sentence the rebels to the usual death sentence.  Instead of lining them all up and shooting them they executed 1 per day.  The wounded James Connolly was even strapped to a chair to be shot.

I mention this as the continuous drip by drip vengeance of the Brits, day by day, turned the tide.  By the time of its conclusion the war of liberation that followed was certain.  British vengeance seized defeat from victory.  My thinking follows on from Pickler’s question (this is not a dig at Pickler) in my earlier post today.  I am seeing vengeance porn all over the Western media at the minute.

There are small exchanges currently on the borders of Lebanon and Syria.  Iraqi and Yemeni militias are making noises of moving west.  The Middle Eastern governments still have no balls but their populations are under no illusions in their support.  To set the scene check out Norman Finkelstein on the Jimmy Dore show.

Israhelli government officials talk about turning Gaza into a tent city – between 1.8 - 2.1 million people - 50% children.  That’s more that the Northern Ireland population.  The bastards bombed the border crossing to Egypt to discourage humanitarian relief.  The footage was on Telegram – screaming civvies!!

Benny Nitwit Yahoo was deeply involved in the 911 op.  He used the ‘pearl harbour’ flag in his speech just like the PNAC document that led to the war of terror and invasion of the sand box.  These fuckers are going to slaughter the occupants of the last concentration camp.

There is a term I learned from Andrei Martyanov who has educated me a lot on modern war theory called escalation dominance – who is the big daddy and who determines the next step up.

Watch the Muslim Umma (world) as Jews exterminate Muslims in industrial quantities.  Drip by drip.  It was bad enough in the times of ‘Operation Caste Lead I and II’ plus the others since.  Israhell murders the Palestinians and the world won’t address it and moves on.

The ‘Kraine has shown the US/ZOG empire is a washed out bully.  Iran didn’t back down in 2020 after General Soleimani was murdered.  America blinked as the strike was as good – if not better than what they could do with outdated cruise missiles.

This is the 1916 effect.  Benny’s government is going to exterminate a huge number of the Gazans just to bury the political opposition, corruption investigation and the land deals when they are all dead or displaced. The built-in hatred of the Arab inhabitants is just garnish on top.

This is a Category 1 warning to all folks.  If this shit does not get calmed down the US is like likely to lose 1 or 2 Carrier Groups and every airbase within 2000 miles of Iran.  After that all bets are off.

As a human I stand with the Gazans.  I’ve been on the receiving end of government shit but this is biblical level stuff.  If this doesn’t get calmed down we go will go from the Apocalypse (unveiling) to the Armageddon (battle on the plains of Megiddo)

The dog that didn’t bark

Flogging Dead Horses - Tue, 10/10/2023 - 08:13

I was reading over at BCE’s place as usual this morning and Pickler had an interesting question “do you condone what Hamas did, and is doing to those women and children?”  A loaded but valid question.  This was my reply.

This is another false flag op to start a war with Iran and provoke Muslims worldwide to protest.  Israhell has tortured the Palestinian people for 70+ years.  People have no idea how that hatred has festered
Hamas is controlled opposition.  They were created by Mossad and imposed on the Gaza strip with the blessing of Jerusalem in 2006 in opposition to Fatah.  Soon after labelled a terrorist group and the strip sealed.  A 25 x 4 mile prison that is used as a live testing ground for new weapon systems like DIME.
The wall around their prison is electronically wired with sensors that can detect below surface digging.  A cat can’t approach that wall without an alarm being raised.  Were the IDF soldiers drugged as not one seemed to resist?
Benny Nitwit Yahoo seems beside himself with joy announcing a new ’Pearl Harbour’ event.  Sound familiar? 911 anyone?  Suddenly his corruption scandal goes away.  Never mind the poor meat sacks on both sides getting stiffed. I do not condone harming women and children.  By the same stakes I do not condone the 200+ children in Gaza murdered this year alone.  Nor the 15,000+ civilians murdered in the Donbas since 2014.  Western media is very selective in whom they want us to hate.

I understand how visceral the hate can be of the ‘other’.  How you feel when members of your community are murdered by those of the ruling community – just because they don’t ‘belong’.

I watched a lot of video on Telegram and frankly some of it was sickening. If you lock someone in a cage, torture and murder them and their kin that’s the outcome you will get.

I’ve seen it first hand when Michael Stone was caught.  So many wanted him dead they couldn’t get the job done properly.

Max Egan did a good video touching on the current situation in Gaza with a good recap of the last 20 years of their torment.

In a wider context we see the hegemon changing the story from their defeat in Ukraine.  They want a war with Iran so bad their balls hurt.  Similarly the Western countries have endured large invasions of Muslins.  All it needs is kindling and Europe’s cities will burn – just like France this summer.

The global mountain of debt is on its last legs and a scape goat must be found.  Russia was meant to be on its last legs by now.  The empire must smash Iran to open up Russia’s southern border and to show that ZOG can still dominate.

That boat has definitely sailed.  Iran’s pin point retaliation after the murder of General Soleimani in 2020 was a small taste of what fate the empire’s assets would receive.  Be careful what you ask for.  Empire's other predictions have worked so well lately (NOT)

I seem to recall Albert Pike’s infamous letter to Giuseppe Mazzini back in 1871

"The Third World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences caused by the "agentur" of the "Illuminati" between the political Zionists and the leaders of Islamic World. The war must be conducted in such a way that Islam and political Zionism mutually destroy each other.

Meanwhile the other nations, once more divided on this issue will be constrained to fight to the point of complete physical, moral, spiritual and economical exhaustion... We shall unleash the Nihilists and the atheists, and we shall provoke a formidable social cataclysm which in all its horror will show clearly to the nations the effect of absolute atheism, origin of savagery and of the most bloody turmoil.

Then everywhere, the citizens, obliged to defend themselves against the world minority of revolutionaries, will exterminate those destroyers of civilization, and the multitude, disillusioned with Christianity, whose deistic spirits will from that moment be without compass or direction, anxious for an ideal, but without knowing where to render its adoration, will receive the true light through the universal manifestation of the pure doctrine of Lucifer, brought finally out in the public view.

This manifestation will result from the general reactionary movement which will follow the destruction of Christianity and atheism, both conquered and exterminated at the same time.

And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,

Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Colonization by SARS-CoV-2 NOT SYNONYMOUS WITH INFECTION, (different, disimilar) screening study highlights:

pennyforyourthoughts2 - Tue, 07/13/2021 - 17:26

 Here's hoping you've read?

And you have viewed?Feast your eyes on the information below: As the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) pathogen continues to spread the world over, public health authorities have had to resort to containment strategies such as case detection and isolation, contact tracing and quarantine. These depend on the use of detection techniques, primarily based on finding viral antigens or genetic material in test samples. A new study released as a preprint on the medRxiv* server throws cold water on this notion, however, by demonstrating that in a set of asymptomatic cases, less than a tenth actually had evidence of SARS-CoV-2 infection. This finding has serious implications for the practices mentioned above, since they may be neither justifiable nor cost-effective as means to break the chain of viral transmission. Background The gold standard for SARS-CoV-2 detection at present is the use of reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT PCR) to pick up the presence of viral ribonucleic acid (RNA). In this case, RNA is both the viral genetic material and the mediator of transcription of viral products. A positive PCR test is taken as proof of acute infection, which is by definition transmissible. Thus, the next step is to isolate the individual after a single positive test is returned. In addition, all contacts of this so-called case are identified so that they can be put into quarantine for a predefined number of days, watching for evidence of infection, either clinical signs and symptoms, or a positive PCR test.

As we know this is not proof of transmission capabilities

How was the study done? The current study reports data from a unique program implemented for the protection of top soccer players and staff following the lockdown in Germany. The aim was to enable the matches of the German Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 to proceed within a closed stadium. In order to establish this, PCR testing was performed on nasopharyngeal and/or oropharyngeal swabs twice a week. If a test came back positive, some teams voluntarily opted to retest the individual, though this practice was never promoted by the program managers.
Of about 1,700 staff and players who underwent regular screening, there were 98 positive tests between September 13, 2020, and January 14, 2021. The current paper focuses on 11 positive results which came from asymptomatic cases.
In all 11, only one test came back positive, with a string of negative PCR tests thereafter. The positive test was associated with a low cycle threshold, the median being 36. This indicates a low viral load.

36 is not a very low cycle number. But would, indeed, indicate a very low viral load.

What does this pattern mean? The researchers sought to understand the meaning of this pattern. One possible approach was to look for systemic signs of humoral and cellular immune responses to the virus. In order to detect this, the scientists assessed both specific antibodies and T cells (CD4+ and CD8+) elicited against SARS-CoV-2 at a median of 1.5 months (42 days) after the positive PCR test. Interestingly, only one individual had signs of systemic immune response, out of 11 They postulate that a strong local immune response may have led to viral neutralization at the mucosal surface itself, preventing its entry beyond the local level and precluding a systemic immune response. Another possibility is that contamination occurred during testing, since these patients were mostly asymptomatic, nor did they develop systemic immunity. But the quality of the testing system seems to rule out contamination on such a large scale. False-negative PCR results were also considered as a potential source of error, but the repeated negatives seem to militate against this possibility. What are the implications? In the current state of knowledge, it would seem that SARS-CoV-2 can establish its presence for a short period on some individuals, while not being able to infect the tissues or cause-specific adaptive immunity. Strangely, scientists seem to have missed this obvious pattern so far, despite its being present in over a tenth of positive cases. This is inferred from the point that retests are rarely ordered after a PCR test comes back positive.

I’m unsure how “strange” it is that scientists missed this “obvious pattern” in more then a tenth of positive cases? In fact the question has to be asked if this was intentionally overlooked.

The scientists conclude:     Further characterization of transient colonization regarding contagiousness is warranted, as preventive measures such as isolation and contact tracing may not be justified in these cases.”

“Propaganda is the executive arm of the invisible government,” wrote Edward Bernays, the father of modern propaganda. In part one of Episode 17, Mark Crispin Miller, professor of Media Studies at New York University, discusses the propaganda onslaught that defined the year 2020, when what was dismissed one week is confirmed the next, and why questioning official narratives "necessarily means taking ‘conspiracy theory’ seriously.”

Covid Vaccine Effectiveness 2.9% ( Negligible to non existent effectiveness)

pennyforyourthoughts2 - Mon, 07/12/2021 - 17:19

I've been talking this TRUTH up for how long here?

The vaccine was NEVER intended to stop transmission. It was NEVER shown to be capable of stopping or even slowing transmission. NEVER. EVER. EVER.

All the jab receivers are Pawns (slang meaning: noun. a person manipulated in order to enact a plan.)  Having been snookered. (trick, entice, or trap) Duped.(deceived/tricked)

Link

"Covid vaccines may be far less effective at preventing infection than previously thought"

Thought? As in there was no science? There was no data? It was not known? Just "thought" ?

Who thought that? Did the media encourage people to have that "thought" when there was no proof? This was not a "thought" held to be true by myself.

Although the Delta variant is much more contagious (another "thought" you're to believe?) than previous forms of Covid, that wasn’t enough to explain the increase.

Professor Friston’s modelling is based on “real world” data and suggests that the efficacy rate against infection could be as low as 2.9 per cent.

the efficacy rate against infection could be as low as 2.9 per cent.

He says the low effective efficacy of the jabs against infection is only a hypothesis but he believes there is no other explanation for why cases are soaring.

“The only way you could explain the resurgence of new cases was to relax the assumption that people who were vaccinated couldn’t get infected. There was a missing link and when we relaxed that assumption suddenly everything started to fit,” he said, referring to the trend of Covid rates rising far faster than deaths and hospital admissions.

Prof Friston and University College London colleague Professor Anthony Costello have set out their hypothesis in a comment piece for the British Medical Journal (BMA).

I'm going to relink below a few of the many, many  times readers here were informed that this vaccine could not, would not and was never going to reduce transmission.

These vaccines have killed and maimed globally. The benefit does not outweigh the risk.  In fact the risk is still largely unknown.

Haiti and Cuba: Drug Running, Windward Passage, Panama - Location, location, location

pennyforyourthoughts2 - Mon, 07/12/2021 - 12:57

Location. It's always an important consideration in every geo political situation.
* First the assassination of the Haitian President Moise and the weirdness that surrounds that.

Haiti's police chief announced Sunday that officers have arrested a Haitian man (Sanon) accused of flying into the country on a private jet and working with the masterminds and alleged assassins behind the killing of President Jovenel Moïse.

Charles said Sanon was in contact with a firm that provides security for politicians and recruited the suspects, adding that the suspect flew into Haiti with them in early June. The men's initial mission was to protect Sanon, but they later received a new one: arrest the president, the chief said.

"The operation started from there," he said, noting that an additional 22 suspects joined the group and that contact was made with Haitian citizens.

Sanon has lived in Florida, in Broward County and in Hillsborough County on the Gulf Coast. Records show he has also lived in Kansas City, Missouri. He filed for bankruptcy in 2013 and identifies himself as a doctor in a video on YouTube titled "Leadership for Haiti."

* Second: News of anti government protests in Cuba. With “thousands” in attendance.
I don’t know about that? Hundreds looks more like it. 500 perhaps?

*  Thousands of Cubans marched on Havana's Malecon promenade and elsewhere on the island Sunday to protest food shortages and high prices (US Sanctions)
* Many young people took part in the afternoon protest in the capital (??)
* Cuba is going through its worst economic crisis in decades, along with a resurgence of coronavirus cases, as it suffers the consequences of U.S. sanctions imposed by the Trump administration.
* A group of government supporters also arrived in the area shouting slogans in favour of the late president Fidel Castro and the revolution. Some of them assaulted a cameraman and an AP photographer.

* Afterward, though, he accused Cuban Americans of stirring up trouble.

*"As if pandemic outbreaks had not existed all over the world, the Cuban American mafia, paying very well on social networks to influencers and YouTubers, has created a whole campaign ... and has called for demonstrations across the country," (Cuba's President)  Díaz-Canel told reporters

In ten years there is no reason to doubt the notion that the US hasmoved an ever greater quantity of satellite and internet equipment in to Cuba

These two nations and the incidents of disruption destabilization are connected. Panama, it's Canal, Jamaica, the US base at Guantanamo are all points of interest and intersection. And so is the Windward Passage. The Windward Passage is likely the least known, everyone knowing what the Panama Canal is. So travel back 11 years to this older work:

Washington's interest in Haiti arose chiefly because of the country's proximity to the Panama Canal and Central America. Haiti also controls the Windward Passage, a narrow body of water that could be easily closed, disrupting maritime traffic. In the nineteenth century, the United States considered establishing a naval base in Haiti ....

Image Link

The Windward Passage is the strait  that specifically lies between the easternmost region of Cuba and the northwest of Haiti. 80km wide, the Windward Passage has a threshold depth of 1,700m. It connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Caribbean Sea, and is in the direct path of shipping between the Panama Canal and the eastern seaboard of the United States.

Not a coincidence that Haiti's leader is taken out and anti government protests appear in Cuba.

The Windward Passage figures large in drug running:

Haiti’s nightmare: The Cocaine Coup and the C.I.A. connection (some excerpts- read at the link, please)

Going back to move ahead....

Aristide, a Roman Catholic priest who had been elected nearly three years before with 70 percent of the vote in Haiti’s first free election, was speaking to a packed session of the United Nations General Assembly.

In a dramatic move, Aristide told the diplomats that the military government of Haiti had to yield the power that was to end Haiti’s role in the drug trade, a trade financed by Colombia’s Cali cartel, that had exploded in the months following the coup.

Aristide told the U.N. that each year Haiti is the transit point for nearly 50 tons of cocaine (at that time) worth more than a billion dollars, providing Haiti’s military rulers with $200 million in profits.

Aristide’s electrifying accusations opened the floodgate of even more sinister revelations. Massachusetts Senator John Kerry heads a subcommittee concerned with international terrorism and drug trafficking that turned up collusion between the C.I.A. and drug traffickers during the late 1980s Iran Contra hearings.

Kerry had developed detailed information on drug trafficking by Haiti’s military rulers that led to the indictment in Miami in 1988, of Lt. Col. Jean Paul. The indictment was a major embarrassment to the Haitian military, especially since Paul defiantly refused to surrender to U.S. authorities. It was just a month before thousands of U.S. troops invaded Panama and arrested Manuel Noriega who, like Col. Paul, was also under indictment for drug trafficking in Florida.

>>>>>>

On April 21, 1994, a convicted Colombian drug trafficker, Gabriel Taboada, who is in the fifth year of a 12-year sentence in a Miami federal prison, fingered Francois at a Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee hearing chaired by Senator John Kerry. Taboada testified that Lt. Col. Francois collaborated in shipping tons of cocaine to the United States during then 1980s.

Taboada said he met Francois while he was in the Medellin, Colombia, office of drug king Pablo Escobar, in 1984. During a 30-minute conversation, Taboada told Francois he was a car importer. Francois, he said, asked “why wasn’t I in the drug business since the drug business made good money.”

Speaking through an interpreter, Taboada said: “I asked him what his business was and he said that at the time he was in Medellin arranging a cocaine deal.” Taboada said he later learned that Francois was chief of police in Haiti.

Taboada told the committee that the cartel “took planes out of Colombia and landed in Haiti, protected by the Haitian military. Michel Francois protected the drugs in Haiti, and then allowed the drugs to continue to the United States.”

No reason to think the drug running has stopped.

Cuba seems intent on reigning in the drug trafficking Drug shipment intercepted in Baracoa

A shipment of 929.32 kilograms of marijuana was intercepted by the Cuban authorities last week to the north of the province of Guantánamo, the island’s official media reported this Saturday

The note specifies that the boat with two outboard motors, with papers from one of the islands of the Bahamas, was detected on April 10 at around 6:00 p.m. by the Visual Observation Service of the Radio Technical Post of the eastern Baracoa region.

After neutralizing one of the engines, the Bahamians showed resistance, disobeyed the arrest order, began throwing the drug into the sea and to pour a fuel tank inside the vessel, in order to set fire to the boat to eliminate the evidence and jump into the sea

Is That Rush for a Third Covid Vaccine Booster Jab Necessary?

pennyforyourthoughts2 - Sat, 07/10/2021 - 16:51

Stay tuned for an upcoming video that fits this news like a hand to a glove!

 Trial Site News:

Thanks to a valued community member, TrialSite shares recent study results led by Spanish researchers. With important results published in Frontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology, TrialSite points to a growing chasm out there provoked by the mainstream media’s fear-mongering about waning immunity, risk of variants, and as TrialSite shares later today, the called-out need for booster shots. Importantly, a majority of the mainstream media-sensationalized headlines are premised on in vitro evidence regarding antibodies. This new study’s argument is intriguing. The first reports of waning immunity stem from accounts of recovered patients whose antibody titers revealed material decreases after 3 to 6 months. However, it’s well established that circulating antibodies rise rapidly soon after an acute infection, stabilize, and then start to decline. But humoral immunity persists in the form of memory B Cells that expeditiously produce massive volumes of antibodies in response to a reintroduction of the antigen. This exposure takes about 24 hours as opposed to the 8 to 12 days it takes after the first exposure.

The second time the headlines used these same scare tactics were when in vitro studies showed that antibodies had a lower neutralizing effect on variants versus the wild type. However, it’s not at all clear how much of a humoral response is required in order to repel a reinfection. The other factor is that humoral immunity (B Cells that produce antibodies) is only a portion of the adaptive immune response. The other main portion of the adaptive response is cellular immunity (Cytotoxic T cells). It’s been shown that cellular immunity is much more important for combating COVID-19 and avoiding the secondary inflammatory stage. In fact, it’s been demonstrated that an immune response dominated by TH2 (cellular) leads to poor outcomes and mortality.

In plain language the type of response generated by the vaccine leads to poor outcomes and mortality.

Humoral immunity is easy to measure because the antibodies are circulating in the blood. However, the more important cellular immunity is much more difficult to measure. Therefore, we haven’t had clear evidence around how much T Cell immunity might be waning and if T Cells would suffer a significant reduction in recognition to the variants’ epitopes. It’s been inferred that cellular immunity is more enduring than humoral when it comes to COVID-19 based on the real-world evidence of how natural immunity and vaccine-derived immunity are holding up well to the variants. This paper provides data to back up the real-world evidence that’s being observed.

Further Monetization by Pfizer?

This real-world evidence hasn’t prevented Pfizer from trying to cash in on another 3rd booster shot. Recently, they announced that they would seek FDA approval for a third dose of their original vaccine formula.

They based their case on a report out of Israel that the Delta variant is reducing the efficacy of the Pfizer vaccine to 64%. However, this is very questionable since little details were provided with this statement and it contradicts strong evidence to the contrary.

Recently, the UK published data that the Pfizer vaccine was still 88% effective at preventing symptomatic disease against the Delta variant. In addition, Pfizer also referenced the waning antibody titers after 6 months as justification for a 3rd shot. However, decreasing antibodies after 6 months is expected, and Pfizer fails to take into account the memory B Cells response or the T Cell response.

A Different Point of View

In this study, they combined an experimental and bioinformatics approach to address T cell reactivity to SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern (VoC). They directly assessed T Cell responses from individuals recovered from COVID-19 and those vaccinated with the mRNA vaccines for their capacity to recognize peptides derived from the ancestral reference sequence (wildtype) and the United Kingdom (UK) variant 501Y.V1 lineage B.1.1.7, the South Africa (SA) variant 501Y.V2 lineage B.1.351, the BR (Brazilian) variant 501Y.V3 lineage P.1, and the California (CA) variant CAL.20C lineages B.1.427–429.7.

This study was performed prior to the emergence of the Delta variant. However, being that the T Cells showed robust recognition for all prior variants, it’s highly likely that the same would be true for the Delta variant.

This study provides data to support the recent statement by the FDA and CDC to counter Pfizer’s claims and inform the public that a booster dose is not needed at this time.

For instance, T Cell Epitopes are conserved at over 90% across all variants.

T cell immunity against other beta coronaviruses has proven long-lived. This study showed T cell immunity up to 11 years for SARS.

It’s likely that memory T Cell immunity will be similarly long-lived for SARS-CoV-2.  The question has been if antigenic drift will cause the T cells to no longer recognize new variants. Thanks to this study, it’s clear that T cell immunity is continuing to recognize SARS-CoV-2 across all tested variants. Therefore, both recovered COVID-19 patients and vaccinated individuals can ignore the daily flood of sensationalized headlines for now.

Russia, Iran, Turkey reject unilateral Syria Sanctions, Oppose Oil Theft & Separatist Ambitions

pennyforyourthoughts2 - Fri, 07/09/2021 - 08:35

Please, no 'but, but, Turkey steals Syrian oil/ Erdogan's son' blah, blah, blah. Been there, debunked that. Long ago. There are more appropriate places for that type of dis/mis info. The Kurds have been the number one thieves of Syria's oil. That is the US allied PKK crew.

A few previous reports and there are more

And.. These are not "Syria's Kurds", either. That's perception management 101 ala rebranding

 TASS

The guarantor countries of the Astana process on Syria (Russia, Iran and Turkey) reject unilateral sanctions against Syria, the three countries said in a joint statement following the 16th international meeting on Syria in the Astana format.
According to the statement, the parties "reiterated grave concern at the humanitarian situation in Syria, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which presents a profound challenge to all Syria's health system, socio-economic and humanitarian situations". They "rejected all unilateral sanctions, which are in contravention of international law, international humanitarian law and the UN Charter, particularly in the face of the pandemic".

Also, Moscow, Tehran, and Ankara oppose the seizure and illegal sale of oil that belongs to Damascus. The countries "reiterated their opposition to the illegal seizure and transfer of oil revenues that should belong to the Syrian Arab Republic".

"Reaffirmed their strong commitment to the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic as well as to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and highlighted that these principles should be universally respected and complied with," the statement said.

According to the statement, the parties agreed that long-term security and stability in this region can only be achieved on the basis of preservation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. In addition, the countries "rejected all attempts to create new realities on the ground, including illegitimate self-rule initiatives under the pretext of combating terrorism.
Reaffirmed their determination to stand against separatist agendas in the east of the Euphrates aimed at undermining the unity of Syria as well as threatening the national security of neighboring countries". Recently:

Lockdown Lovers Lack Faith In Their Vaccine Saviour? From Fear To Folly

pennyforyourthoughts2 - Thu, 07/08/2021 - 15:51

Thought this oped presented an interesting perspective!

Let's be real: some people want to live in lockdown forever because they fear and loathe ordinary people.

At least now we know how to trigger the chattering classes. Just utter the phrase ‘personal responsibility’. Judging by yesterday’s mad, spittle-flying meltdown in response to Boris Johnson’s announcement that Covid restrictions will end on 19 July, no two words horrify the Smart Set more. ‘What do you mean trust people to decide for themselves how to negotiate risk and organise their lives?!’, they were essentially crying. It was a salutary and, let’s be frank, unwittingly hilarious reminder that the self-styled expert classes are in the grip of a fretful, fearful illiberalism that views the masses as vectors of disease rather than as sensible individuals capable of behaving rationally. We may have tamed Covid-19; the next big task is to tame, and ideally defeat, this virus of misanthropy that has been allowed to let rip for too long in the ranks of the new elites.

You could be forgiven for thinking Boris had passed a law making it mandatory for every citizen to snog someone infected with Covid. The response was that mad. Lifting restrictions while the Delta variant is spreading is not unlike doing away with ‘all traffic lights, road markings, speed limits and seat belts’, said one-time comic turned Remoaning madman David Schneider. Social media was awash with predictions of doom and death. Lockdown leftists – who used to call Boris a fascist but who now view him as some kind of daddy figure who should have the right to put us under house arrest whenever he damn well pleases – said ‘personal  aid ‘personal responsibility’ is a mad idea in a pandemic. The Guardian’s frontpage splash this morning says Boris is taking a ‘gamble’ with people’s lives. He’s making England ‘the most unrestricted society in Europe’. The horror!

You can picture Guardian readers up and down the land: ‘Freedom? I knew we should have stayed in the EU.’ The masks discussion was the maddest of all – and the most revealing. Serious commentators fumed at Boris’s confirmation that even masks will no longer be legally mandated come 19 July. ‘Well, I’m going to continue wearing mine!’, some cried. All this ‘whimpering about liberty’ is nauseating, said a writer for the Independent – masks are a ‘small imposition’ with huge benefits, he claimed.

We’re heading for the great mask divide, aren’t we? Masks are going to become the latest tool of moral distancing, a way for the right-thinking sections of the bourgeoisie to distinguish themselves from the coughing, snorting throng. It used to be AIDS ribbons or cancer bracelets and more recently a Pride flag dangling from your living-room window – now it’ll be a bit of cloth over your gob, material proof that, unlike Them, you care.

The mask meltdown in particular captured what is really going on here. Sections of the elite are bristling against the lifting of restrictions not because the stats suggest we are heading for another wave as deadly as the first and second – they suggest no such thing – but because they fear other people. Our faces, our breath, the noises we make. Masks will ‘provide an extra layer of defence from the person an inch from your face on the Northern line who hasn’t cleaned their teeth’, said that Indie columnist. In the future we will ‘look back in disbelief at the way we once breathed and snorted and coughed over each other, letting germs and bugs run riot’, he argued. A masked society, in which we all enjoy a modicum of protection from other people’s germ-ridden expressions, is ‘heaven’, he says. Translation: Hell is other people.

This view of the crowd as a potentially diseased menace is not limited to opinion writers. Experts proffer such antnti-social, anti-human thinking, too. Professor Susan Michie of SAGE said letting people get back to normal right now is like ‘building new “variant factories”‘. Prophet of doom Deepti Gurdasani agreed: ‘The UK is creating these factories, knowing the risks.’ It seems that to some people this is what freedom is, this is what society is – little more than cauldrons of infection, a messy, breathy, flesh-pressing means for sicknesses to mutate and get worse and worse. That experts can openly talk about freely associating individuals as ‘variant factories’ confirms the extent of their Covid obsessiveness, the fact that they now view everything – freedom, human interaction, society itself – in the narrow, technocratic terms of whether it will create more space for Covid to spread. To paraphrase Wilde, these people know the R-number of everything and the value of nothing.

Read the rest at the opening link and then share a thought or two?

Though I must  include this last bit:

This is good, no? It’s great, in fact. We have deployed our scientific knowledge and medical know-how to break the link between Covid infection and serious illness. So why the fear? The gloom? The horror at the prospect of a restoration of liberty? Because this isn’t actually about Covid. Not entirely, anyway. As spiked has argued from the very beginning of the pandemic, Covid-19 is a very serious virus that requires strong interventions from society, but the cultural rendering of Covid as a sickly apocalypse, a pox mankind brought upon himself with all his modernity and whatnot, a disease that will require the creation of a New Normal that just happens to conform to the anti-social, anti-masses outlook of the new elites – all of that was underpinned by a culture of fear that predated the emergence of Covid-19.

Fear. FEAR. An entire culture of it?! Yes, YES AND YES VERY MUCH YES.

Fear and Folly in aid of class warfare.

It's so difficult to agree with Boris Johnson, he is detestable. But, stopped clocks right?

Canada's Covid Vaccine Weekly Harm and Death Update; More Vaxxed Deaths and More People Who Die w Covid are Vaxxed

pennyforyourthoughts2 - Thu, 07/08/2021 - 15:16

US Data released last week-  DEATHS @  Open VAERS

Note: This was the data that should have been released on Friday July 02/21 but was not released until July 05/21,  Always keep in mind Canada's data is lagging by three weeks- meaning it’s a month behind. It is only up to date to June 04/21 as you can see in the chart below:

According to the latest data:

Deaths

Up to and including June 25, 2021, a total of 123 deaths were reported after the administration of a vaccine.
Health Canada wants us to believe this is the grand total. I find that doubtful. Highly doubtful.
Since they are on the hook for compensation they have every incentive to keep these numbers down. I find the running total from the combined weekly report closer to credible. Particularly when looking at the US numbers☝

So the total from last week plus the total from this week: 938 from last week plus this week's number of 123 = 1061 is the running grand total- the choice is yours.

*No new safety signals have been identified in Canada

(two continue to be monitored)

* 34,674,379

Total doses administered (remember some of those are double dosed individuals- so that is not necessarily the number of individuals jabbed)

*8,570

Total adverse event following immunization reports

(0.025% of all doses administered)

*6,686

Total adverse event following immunization reports that were non-serious

(0.019% of all doses administered)

*1,884

Total adverse event following immunization reports that were serious

(0.005% of all doses administered)

*272

New adverse event following immunization reports since last update

(123 new non-serious and 149 new serious)

4 Safety Signals are being monitored- that’s two more then the two claimed in the “need to know” chart

1-Cases of thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome following vaccination with AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD COVID-19 vaccine continue to be monitored. Health Canada has updated the product monograph to include information about these very rare events of blood clots associated with low levels of platelets following immunization.

Up to and including June 25, 2021, there were 59 cases of TTS in Canada with reports submitted to PHAC or to Health Canada. Of the TTS cases:

55 cases received COVISHIELD/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines, three received a Pfizer vaccine, and one received a Moderna vaccine.

2-The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and Health Canada are also monitoring Canadian and international reports (World Health Organization, United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, European Medicines Agency, Israel) of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) and pericarditis (inflammation of the lining around the heart) following vaccination with COVID-19 mRNA vaccines. Health Canada recently updated the product monographs for both Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines to include information around these risks. Health Canada and PHAC continue to monitor the evolving information regarding the association between myocarditis/pericarditis and mRNA vaccines.

3-PHAC and Health Canada are aware of international reports and regulatory actions related to capillary leak syndrome and the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. Health Canada has updated the product monograph to include information on capillary leak syndrome, including a contraindication for patients who have previously experienced this syndrome.

4-PHAC and Health Canada have been actively monitoring reports of Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) in Canada following AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccination and are now seeing a higher number of cases than would normally be expected in the general population. Health Canada is continuing its review and is working closely with the manufacturers and international regulators to review information as it becomes available and will take appropriate action
That makes 4 problems being monitored. Not two

Adverse Events Chart Below

Notice the, undoubtedly undercounted/under documented Covid breakthrough cases keep occurring? The vaccine was never, ever, going to reduce transmissibility. And claims of it reducing sickness and hospitalization are entirely subjective.

Particularly when one considers..

Trudeau's Election Ploy- Identity Politics/Native Issues and Prepping the Arctic for Encircling Russia

pennyforyourthoughts2 - Wed, 07/07/2021 - 18:46

Understanding  people will be miffed about my stance on this subject, however, what should anger people is the exploitation by the political class of this history for their political gain. And it is exploitation. And it is for political gain. Sadly, some exploitation is okay for some people. As long as it makes them 'feel good' about themselves. Yah, I'm talking about the social justice warrior/virtue signaling types. Burning down churches. Despite the native population speaking out against this! Despite the fact that many natives are practicing Catholics.

Not in Solidarity with Us

Allan-Riley, who is a ‘60s Scoop survivor and the daughter of a residential school survivor, said the church arsons were fuelling further division between Indigenous people and non-Indigenous people, and that burning the churches “is not our native way.”

Some of the buildings that have been decimated by fires include a century-old Catholic church just outside of Edmonton. One of the most recent attacks was at the Vietnamese Alliance Church in Calgary on Sunday, which hours earlier held its first full service in over a year. Days before, at least 10 churches were damaged across the city in a single night.

Thankfully some natives are speaking out against these antagonizing forces. - not in solidarity with us.

Around the corner from my home is a beautiful old Catholic church. Most if it's attendees are Italian immigrants, including my father, who came after WW2. They've nothing to do with any of this. And yet... little shoes are everywhere. You can say the church is being protested?  Sure. But the church is a building  used by the attendees. Ordinary people who are practicing their faith. Those people are the ones being targeted by do gooders who can't see the error of their ways.

Furthermore this type of activity will do nothing but sow division and resentment. Do the SJW's who placed those shoes there know anything about how tough life was for these persons upon arrival in Canada? And what these people suffered as they left their extended families and a nation destroyed by a devastating war /occupation? Or how hard they worked to build new lives when their own were shattered. Entire villages decimated. Family members killed. Murdered. Raped. You see I know a bit about this history. And those do gooders are do badders! I won't even get into the discrimination that was experienced by these people.  (Including the rounding up of Italians in Canada-  another apology, more electioneering in my opinion.) Justin Trudeau’s apology to Italians may look like pre-election posturing- Here’s the real story

Yes, there is harmful history. But Trudeau's sudden penance is manipulative, carefully crafted PR.

Trudeau wants an election.

You’d have to blind to not see this is the case.  Trudeau has always been a virtue signaling/identity politics player sowing the seeds of division in Canada.  And he’s playing Canadians in a masterful fashion. As he has done previously. Flashback: 2015- Canada Saw Red

Getting my crystal ball out...

Trudeau will divide this country, same as Harper did, just in a different manner.

We will suffocate under political correctness. We already did under Harper, but, it will get so much worse under Trudeau. Free speech will be further restricted
About the native woman appointed as governor general? That’s awesome, right?
Do you all realize this woman is the Queen’s representative here in Canada.

She is appointed by the Queen

Ms. Mary Simon- Queen's Rep in Canada

The Royal Announcement:

https://www.royal.uk/announcement-new-governor-general-canada-0

The Queen, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister of Canada, has been pleased to approve the appointment of Ms. Mary Simon as the next Governor General of Canada.    Does anyone see the irony in that, all things considered? Think about it?

The appointment of this woman is highly suggestive that the far North will be militarized,  greater then it already is. In order to assist the US in encircling Russia Think not? Think again.

Quoting from her bio:

She later joined the Executive Council of the Inuit Circumpolar Conference (now the Inuit Circumpolar Council), for which she served two terms as President. She was Commissioner of the Nunavut Implementation Commission and Policy Co-Director of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples.

From 1994 to 2003, Ms. Simon served as Ambassador for Circumpolar Affairs, becoming the first Inuk to hold an ambassadorial position. During this time, she negotiated the creation of the Arctic Council. Concurrently, she served as Ambassador of Canada to Denmark from 1999 to 2001.

Beginning in 2006, Ms. Simon served two terms as the President of Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami. In 2008, in the House of Commons, she delivered a response on behalf of Inuit to the formal apology on residential schools. She is the founder of the Arctic Children and Youth Foundation and, until 2014, she was the Chairperson of the National Committee on Inuit Education.

In 2017, as the Minister’s Special Representative, Ms. Simon delivered a report to the Minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs, A new Shared Arctic Leadership Model, setting the stage for important policy and program development in support of the Arctic and its residents.
Policy and program development in support of the Arctic and it's residents-

This is cover for militarization and resource exploitation- Dressed up in fancy misleading language..

Getting to the news concerning residential schools:

If you read the royal announcement- then you're aware that Ms. Mary Simon- " delivered a response on behalf of Inuit to the formal apology on residential schools" in 2008.

We’ve talked about the situations in the Residential Schools for nearly two decades here in Canada. Settlements have been paid. Seriously. The “Truth and Reconcilliation” Commission started in 2007

The Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement, the largest class-action settlement in Canadian history, began to be implemented in 2007. One of the elements of the agreement was the establishment of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada to facilitate reconciliation among former students, their families, their communities and all Canadians.Trudeau want's an election. He wants to win the election. And he will play identity politics to the nth degree if that's what it takes! Be aware of this reality. All of these realities. Don't fall for these political machinations.

Flashback 2016: In honour of Trudeau's multiple deceptions

A quick look on youtube will show the many tearful shows Trudeau has put on. So,it's show time! Or for Trudeau is crying time? Either way? The guy is insincere, that's my take.  Except about winning the election. In that regard he is sincere. What ever it takes.

Part 2- Covid and Climate: Tales of Two Hysterias

pennyforyourthoughts2 - Tue, 07/06/2021 - 15:01

Renamed contrarians critique........ my preference is for the original headline- you can see it in the url below: Link I’m using the original! I’ve omitted some of the oped to keep it as short as possible. You are, of course, free to read at the link provided.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/tilakdoshi/2021/07/05/covid-and-climate-a-tale-of-two-hysterias-part-two/?sh=5f08337339b6

Authored by Tilak Doshi

"Just over a year ago, I wrote in these pages an article noting the remarkable similarities in government policy responses to the impacts of the global Covid-19 pandemic and to those of climate change. Developments over the past year have only served to emphasize the resilient nature of these similarities. The striking parallels in government policy to mitigate perceived “existential threats” to humanity have become even more notable. They betray a range of critical defects in policy making, from an inordinate dependence on speculative models to the lack of transparency and the ideological corruption of science, selective reporting and group think, and the suppression of sceptics. Let’s revisit some of these parallels in government policy towards the Covid pandemic and climate change. Two Recent Events

Covid

On the Covid-19 front, the most explosive development relates to the increasing plausibility of the view that the Sars-Cov-2 virus leaked(from a lab) from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. This occurred after over a year of outright denials by Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and the chief medical advisor to the president. This was accompanied by an onslaught of supportive articles by the mainstream media and the demonization of Senator Tom Cotton as a ‘conspiracy theorist’. He was among the first to raise the likelihood about the lab-release of the corona virus from the Wuhan institute. Newly released emails from Dr. Fauci now suggest that that he may have known that the Chinese research institute was carrying out dangerous gain-of-function research.

I'm not convinced this was leaked from Wuhan. However, I've entertained the possibility of this being created through gain of function research. In my very well received report

“Climate Change”

In the climate change wars, perhaps an equally important development is associated with the publication of Steve Koonin’s book “Unsettled: What Climate Science Tells Us, What It Doesn't, and Why It Matters”. Professor Koonin is a leading climate scientist with degrees from Caltech and MIT with over 200 academic papers. He was previously provost at Caltech and chief scientist for BP. Most importantly, he was former President Obama’s science advisor who “takes an axe” to the “climate emergency” narrative after leaving his government job and re-joining academia. Despite his unimpeachable scientific credentials and his previous position with a Democrat administration, there have been no lack of attempts to ‘cancel’ Koonin and hatchet jobs on his book are
rife (here, here and here).          The Use and Abuse of Models (garbage in/garbage out)

The use of predictive models, often with highly disputed assumptions, has played an out-sized role in guiding government responses. In my previous article, I already pointed out how the not-fit-for-purpose model of Professor Neil Ferguson of Imperial College, London panicked governments in the UK and the US into severe economic and social lockdowns with incalculable collateral damage on the lives and livelihoods of entire populations in many countries. This could be compared, as I previously pointed out, to the alarmist “hockey stick” global warming chart adopted by climate activists, mass media and politicians since its publication in 1999. This led to vast public resources being spent on subsidies and mandates over the past two decades in the US and Western Europe to push expensive and unreliable “renewable energy” technologies, ultimately  with little impact on global dependence on fossil fuels.
My previous article suggested that lockdown policies are to the pandemic what decarbonization (“net zero by 2050”) is to climate change. There has been an increasing body of research that lockdowns – people forced to stay at home, small and medium-sized businesses forced to shut down – don’t work. There is no correlation between the severity of lockdowns and Covid mortality.
A paper published last month by the NBER found no beneficial effect of “shelter in place” or lockdown policies on excess mortality. The effect of lockdown orders was assessed in 43 countries and all 50 US states. The key finding was that shelter-in-place orders not only did not reduce excess deaths but in fact led to excess deaths from all causes. Well documented  collateral damage of lockdowns include widespread poverty, depression, bankruptcy, and unemployment (here, here and here). It has become increasingly apparent that the lockdowns had little basis in scientific research, and hysteria and groupthink were largely responsible for their adoption. The folly and hubris of central planners and favoured technocrats were on full display. The inordinate costs of “decarbonization” policies pursued in many countries have also been well documented. The German Federal Audit Office warned in a recent report that the drive to “net zero” has turned into an existential threat to the economy. The government auditor sees “sees the danger that the energy transition in this form will endanger Germany as a business location and overwhelm the financial strength of electricity-consuming companies and private households”. The report finds that decarbonization with escalating energy costs not only threatens the country with de-industrialization but it also sees an alarming threat to the country’s security of energy supply. California, with aggressive decarbonization policies akin to Germany’s, now face looming blackouts as electricity costs “explode”. “Following the Science”That’s a tiresome meme (mind virus) of no real merit

The “following the science” mantra endlessly cited by politicians to justify draconian lockdown and decarbonization policies has been used to exempt themselves from democratic constraints and the duty to exercise judgement. Relying on “The Science” is both foolish and dangerous, for science is neither consensual nor the “final answer” to any policy debate. Which scientists do you listen to? Science is a methodology constantly striving at plausible answers consistent with empirically-validated models, not some abstract end-state to ‘known knowns’. Epidemiological and climate models employed to predict outcomes of highly uncertain and only partially understood processes often yields results which are “sociological”, tuned to getting politically correct answers. These abstract predictive models, untethered to empirical validation, may well be “worse than nothing”. Appeals to science and predictive models have dominated the advocacy of policies by the power triumvirate – lawmakers, bureaucrats and the mainstream media — to mitigate perceived threats to human welfare, be it the Covid pandemic or climate change. Yet such appeals are ultimately political.  Perhaps the last word lies best with the towering American essayist H. L. Mencken, who wrote that “The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary”.

Practical politics. Keeping the populace alarmed and clamouring for the illusion of safety and security. Delivered to them by their jailers. Their prison guards.

Turkey and US Negotiations Continue for Kabul (Hamid Karzai) Airport- Still No Final Agreement

pennyforyourthoughts2 - Tue, 07/06/2021 - 12:52

Contrary to claims made. Negotiations continue.

Future of security arrangements for Afghanistan’s Hamid Karzai International Airport likely to be top agenda

Amid ongoing talks on ensuring the security of the airport in Afghanistan’s capital after this summer’s NATO pullout, the Turkish and US defense chiefs are due to speak on the phone on Wednesday, said Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar.

Stressing that the operation and security of Hamid Karzai International Airport in the capital Kabul carries critical significance for Afghans' future, Akar told reporters that talks with the US on this are ongoing – including his call with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin this Wednesday – along with looking at what other countries could do in this regard.

"As Mr. President [Recep Tayyip Erdogan] stated at the (last month’s) NATO summit, there are some conditions and issues” on providing airport security, said Akar.

“We have expressed an intention on this matter. We have stated that we could stay if these conditions were met."

Turkey has previously said the financial cost of providing security should be shouldered by a number of countries, not just Turkey.

Turkey is in contact with some countries on issues such as taking political decisions at the UN and NATO, coming to an agreement with the Afghan government, and support on the political, fiscal, and logistical fronts, said Akar.

"Meanwhile, our contact with the Americans goes on. No definitive decision has so far been made... Afghanistan is a brotherly [country] for us," he said, adding that Turkey will continue to do all it can to ensure Afghans' peace, stability, and security.

"Why most people who now die with Covid in England have had a vaccination" The Guardian

pennyforyourthoughts2 - Tue, 07/06/2021 - 07:53

Why most people who now die with Covid in England have had a vaccination

Don’t think of this as a bad sign, it’s exactly what’s expected from an effective but imperfect jab
Don’t think of this as a bad sign? Seriously?

It's what's expected from an effective but imperfect jab?

It was expected that most vaccine recipients would die from Covid because it's an imperfect jab?

Cognitive Dissonance: Cognitive dissonance describes the discomfort experienced when two cognitions are incompatible with each other.

So, how many are having cognitive dissonance after reading most people who now die with Covid in England have had the vaccination, but, don’t read this as a bad sign?

“ most people who now die with Covid in England have had the vaccination”Should you think of that as a good sign? According to the Guardian, yes, you should!

What you should take away from this bit of real world information is the realization that the so  called vaccination doesn’t prevent Covid from spreading or from killing it’s recipients. Since that is the fact of the matter.
And always has been, no matter the variant.
A MailOnline headline on 13 June read: “Study shows 29% of the 42 people who have died after catching the new strain had BOTH vaccinations.” In Public Health England’s technical briefing on 25 June, that figure had risen to 43% (50 of 117), with the majority (60%) having received at least one dose.

It could sound worrying that the majority of people dying in England with the now-dominant Delta (B.1.617.2) variant have been vaccinated. Does this mean the vaccines are ineffective? Far from it, it’s what we would expect from an effective but imperfect vaccine, a risk profile that varies hugely by age and the way the vaccines have been rolled out.
Something else that should concern you? If you were a of sound mind?
You should be concerned with the fact that the media is TELLING YOU HOW TO THINK ABOUT THIS SITUATION. In a way that doesn’t align with anything resembling REAL LIFE.

In real life most people who die with Covid are vaccinated against it.
